Howdy, my writing peeps! When Gabby Bernstein agreed to come to speak at my book writing class, I wasn't sure what to expect. She's kinda a big deal, having sold millions of books and a community of tens of thousands, and heck, Oprah called her “a thought leader from the next generation of soulful thinkers,” and the New York Times said she's “a new role model.” But she was the coolest. She was so down to earth and keen to help all the aspiring authors who showed up to learn from her. After we chatted for a bit, during a particularly memorable time in our Modern Author interview, Gabby said: “The key to my success as an author is that I have such a strong willingness to be imperfect… I just try to get it out onto the page and not be too picky.” That day in the room--as well as in everything I've read from her--her voice is raw, radiant, and authentic. And her secret isn’t perfection—it’s permission. The permission to be vulnerable. The permission to teach through your truth. And the permission to write a book that’s messy, magical, and soul-shifting all at once. That’s the Radical Vulnerability Framework in action. She doesn’t pretend to have it all figured out. She takes the reader on the journey with her—and that’s what makes her writing transformational. You can too. Why The Radical Vulnerability Framework WorksGabby’s writing hits because it’s more than advice—it’s spiritual connection through story. Her books feel like personal letters from a wiser version of yourself. Here’s why this works: ✅ You’re teaching by example, not preaching from a pedestal ✅ Your life becomes the curriculum—no fake expert energy ✅ You build trust through truth, not perfection ✅ You connect with the emotional AND energetic needs of your audience Gabby’s readers don’t follow her because she has answers. They follow her because she asks the right questions—and shares the journey with unshakable honesty. 🧭 When to Use This Framework✅ Good Fit For:

What's Next?Boy, I must tell you I've had so much fun writing these up. I'd previously deconstructed the chapters of about 150 top nonfiction authors already (Gabby being one of them) for our author community. But packaging them up into this newsletter format has been more fun than I anticipated. Don't forget the deadline for our summer Modern Author Accelerator (writing May to August 2025) is April 14th. If you'd like to see if it's a fit, just schedule a short call and happy to see if this summer is your summer: https://go.oncehub.com/ManuscriptsBookTopicChatf Happy Writing! Eric |
